The most important and strategic military defence and homeland security event in North Africa. the exhibition will be held on the 8-11 November 2010 in Tripoli, Libya.
LIBDEX 2010 promises to be yet another exciting and enriching event.
It will feature the most updated equipment and technologies for the military, national, corporate and personal security. This biennial exhibition will offer the best opportunity to networking with government's officials, armed forces representatives, private companies and all bodies involved in the defence and security industry in Libya and North Africa.
After successful launch event in 2008 with the participation of the highest representatives of the Libyan government, LIBDEX is perceived to be the most significant event on defence in the whole Mediterranean region.
The 2008 edition was attended by nearly 100 exhibitors from over 20 countries including Dassault Aviation, Agusta Westland, INDRA, General Dynamics, Thales, FN Herstal, OTT Armoured Vehicule, Daewoo International, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Nexter Systems, Rodhe Schwarz, Renault Military Trucks, Panhard and many more.
The organizing committee comprises of the General Committee of Defence, Department of Defence and WAHAexpo Co. Libya due to the embargo has slipped slightly behind the latest state of the art defence and security equipment and services. We would like to use this event to attract many new international companies to Libya, so that we can work hand in hand with them: to train our staff, upgrade equipment, buy new products and learn new techniques.
Libya, with its geographical location straddling Europe, the Middle East and Africa, has a key role to play in the security and the peace of the entire region. We have an energetic, fast learning and committed armed forces and we all looking forward to new challenges and the latest information.
Libya's economy is booming, and many new large scale energy and infrastructure projects are being inaugurated, meaning that our demand for new security and defence equipment is growing exponentially.
